OGLESBY — Matt Williams (Peoria, Ill./Notre Dame) finished with 16 points, but the Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team lost 83-60 at Illinois Valley on Tuesday in an Arrowhead Conference matchup.
Williams’ night was the fourth time in the last five games he’s reached double figures. He scored 10 of his points in the second half and finished 4 of 6 from the foul line.
Hunter Caves (Alburnett, Iowa/Alburnett) added nine points for the Chargers (14-13, 2-6), who trailed 43-31 at halftime.
Illinois Valley was led by Braden Edington’s 23 points.
